Happy Anniversary to Us!!

In all the craziness that has been our life this past month, I wanted to take time to say Happy Anniversary to my husband!! Thirteen years ago, I promised to spend the rest of my life with the most wonderful man in the world. He promised me that I would never be bored, and he has kept that promise!! If we would have had any idea where God would send us, I think we would have moved to a deserted island and never came back!! It's been a wonderful 13 years and I look forward to many more!! I love you, babe!!

Look Familiar...?

Yes, once again we have a flat tire!! This makes number 4 for our trip!! We were going along the interstate and it popped!! It was an easy fix and we were soon on our way. We are thinking about getting weekend jobs with NASCAR as rear tire changers. We're quite good at it now!!

Happy Father's Day!!

I have been blessed in my life to have 2 dads. First my Daddy, David Lechner:) I won't tell you how long I've known him; I don't want him to feel old, but I can say I've known him all my life!! He's been my dad all my life, I know that sounds funny, too, but what I'm saying is that there's never been a time that he hasn't been there for me. He's taught me about money, how to love my family unconditionally, to love math:) The most important thing about my did is that no matter how old I get, I know that I can sit on his lap for a hug. I love you, Daddy!!

My second dad, I only knew for about 15 years. He's my father-in-law, Bobby Boone. I have never been a daughter-in-law, only and always a daughter. He was a teacher without a classroom. He taught on the chalkboard of life. He gave me the best thing in my life, my wonderful and loving husband. Today we miss him terribly.

So, I think I'll go find my Daddy and get another hug. If you can find your Daddy, I think you should too!!

Today around 8pm, Tim's Dad, Bobby Perry Boone, met Jesus face to face. We love him so much and are going to miss him. He passed away in his sleep shortly after we got back from Jr. Camp. One of his first questions about camp was "How many kids got saved?" We were so excited to tell him that 4 accepted Jesus!!

Mission Accomplished!!

After 5 trips to xray & radiology, Grandpa finally got rid of his "baby"!! The doctors drained around 5 1/2 liters of fluid from his stomach and he feels so much better! There was an immediate difference in his breathing and heart rate and stomach!! We are praising the Lord! We had a really good night sharing jokes and just talking a bit. It was so wonderful. Keep praying for him. He does have a few other things that they are trying to clear up before he goes home, but he may be able to come home tomorrow or Sunday!! Thanks so much for your prayers!

A Great Big Prayer Praise!!

Where should I start? Today has been a major day. We decided last night to take Grandpa to Gainsville this morning. His stomach has been swelling for 3 weeks now because of fluids his liver is producing because of the cancer. They have been to the VA Clinic in Valdosta, GA where they live, and nothing can be done there. They went to the VA hospital in Lake City, FL (about an hour away) and were sent home because they do not have a gastriologist. (OK, I KNOW I butchered the spelling on that, but it's very late and I'm very tired!) They even went to the emergency room at the local hospital and they couldn't do anything because his blood was too thin!! Anyway, Gainsville has a large VA hospital with everything we need, so we set of this morning aroung 7am. This is what happened on the way...

You guessed it!! Another blowout!! This time the vehicle wasn't even ours!! Notice the sticks on the ground? Tim used those to "hammer" the lug wrench on, because it wouldn't go on 2 of them!! After about a half hour delay, we were back on the road! We got to the VA around 10am. First, we went to the emergency room, because we didn't have an appointment. They sent him for some test and on to Urgent Care. The Urgent Care doctors were great!! They immediately got him admitted to the hospital. Around 6:30pm, we got him into a room and they began the treatments need to thicken his blood so he can have the fluid drained from his stomach. This is a major prayer praise. He has been unable to eat or breath well because of all the swelling. He looks to be about 8 month pregnant!! Everyone at the hospital was great! Please pray that this procedure goes well and he can have relief from the pain he's been in. Pray also for Grandma, she's extremely tired and may be catching something as well. Pray that we will have wisdom in what we should do. We've been able to clear much of our calendar for the month of June to spend here in GA. Jr. Camp is coming up next week for the FL area. We are very excited about that. It's going to be a great camp!! Please pray that Grandpa will be home from the hospital by then, it would remove a lot of stress from the whole family!!

One more thing, I just had to show you how Mylanie spent a large part of the time today!! I think I pushed her around as much as Grandpa!!

Guess What We've Been Doing?!?!?

You guessed it! Back in the car, this time we're in GA with Tim's Mom & Dad. We arrived safely and realized that we had a flat on the trailer this time!! A special thank you to Mr. Ed Mitten for getting the tire fixed for us. Grandpa is not doing very well, so we will probably be taking him to Gainsville, FL to the VA Hospital to get some relief for his pain. We have done a few interesting things today.

1) Wendy learned how to mow grass!! For all you men out there, I think you have it pretty easy, riding around the lawn and calling it work!!

2) We had a corn husking party!! Aunt Jodi dropped off a bushel of corn for us. So we froze it and we'll have corn for a long while!! Thank you Aunt Jodi!!

Safe In Florida

We left North Carolina at 6:30 this morning and arrived safely in Florida around 5pm. We would like to say a special thank you for all of you who were praying for us. We driving down the interstate and someone starting waving at us and pointing at our tire. So, we decided this was a good time to pull over and check the car!! We had a completely flat tire, the car was riding on the rim! There was no indication from the way the car was driving that anything was wrong! The Lord kept us from a serious accident. We were able to change the tire with a good spare and continue on our way with barely a delay! We made it down in plently of time for the graduation. Congratulations Alyssa!!! We are so proud of you. Your speech was great! I'm sorry I forgot my camera. I would have posted your picture!!
